World Cancer Day takes place on 4 February each year and is a global movement designed to place cancer at the forefront of conversation.

“As an international cancer care provider, every day we are committed to making a lasting difference to the lives of cancer patients and their families. On World Cancer Day I encourage everyone to make a conscious decision to stand up and do something about cancer, because together we can change the dial and forge a better tomorrow,” Mark Middleton, Icon Group CEO.
Sadly, cancer is something that has touched every single one of our lives, and that’s why raising awareness and making cancer part of our conversation is so important.
In 2021, the World Cancer Day campaign is ‘I AM and I WILL’. It is about empowering people to act, big or small and inspire positive change and ask for your commitment to a cancer-free world. At Icon we are encouraging patients, loved ones, our teams and our partners to submit virtual heartfelt ‘I AM and I WILL’ pledges to symbolise our commitment to easing the cancer burden, and to provide messages of hope for those that need it most. These messages are displayed on Icon’s Wall of Hearts, an online message board connecting our international network.
At Icon, we will always place patients at the heart and deliver the best possible care, to as many people as possible, as close to home as possible. WE ARE committed to providing the best possible care and WE WILL work together to continue to support our patients every step of the way.
