About the Role
We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity for a motivated Hospital Operations Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy Warragul, located within the vibrant West Gippsland Hospital.
This full-time 5-month contract role has been created to provide vital support to the pharmacy team at Slade Pharmacy Warragul. It’s an opportunity to support the highly motivated pharmacy team and provide high quality Pharmacy Services to the patients of West Gippsland Hospital.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment, working closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure the service meets operational, safety, and quality standards. You’ll oversee dispensary operations, support staff development, and contribute to performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate dispensing of prescriptions for day hospital patients, outpatients, inpatients, and patients for discharge
- Review medication orders, new and repeat for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
- Promote medication safety
- Lead and coordinate pharmacy operations to meet service level targets
- Support and motivate the pharmacy team to deliver optimal patient care and customer service
- Manage pharmacy inventory and workload prioritisation
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and accreditation standards
Who are we looking for?
You’re a proactive and organised pharmacist, ideally with previous hospital pharmacy. You thrive in dynamic environments, communicate effectively with diverse teams, and are committed to delivering exceptional service. You’re ready to take ownership of site performance and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Eligibility Requirements:
- General Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospital or community pharmacy
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Commitment to medication safety and WHS standards
