Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for a passionate individual to become a vital part of our dynamic team at Slade Pharmacy, located within St. John of God Murdoch Hospital in Western Australia.

Established in 1994, St John of God Murdoch Hospital has recently undergone extensive redevelopment. The facility now features 507 beds, 16 operating theatres, a new medical centre, cancer centre and Western Australia’s largest standalone endoscopy unit.
  
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting in preparing prescriptions, handling customer queries, and ensuring the timely supply of medications.
  
Your key responsibilities include:
  • Providing high-quality pharmacy services to hospital staff, patients, and customers
  • Dispensing and supplying medications for hospital and cancer patients
  • Assisting with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
  • Delivering and collecting medications to and from hospital wards
  • Entering patient-specific data into the pharmacy database
  • Assisting with patient account enquiries and resolving issues
  • Liaising with hospital staff and associated personnel
  • Supporting the pharmacy team with general administrative tasks
  
About You
You are a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy setting.
  
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
  • Be able to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  
Preferred Requirements:
  • More than 4 year’s dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
  • Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Hospital pharmacy and Cancer Care experience will be well-regarded but not essential as training will be provided.
