Our World Cancer Day activities

Icon's 2021 World Cancer Day campaign

This World Cancer Day and every day, Icon are ready to stand-up, act and create change for cancer patients globally, and to take positive action by showing our patients, partners and colleagues that we stand together for a world less burdened by cancer.

In 2021, our international network across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Mainland China and Hong Kong showed our support with the following activities:

Icon Wall of Hearts (online message board)

In support of the 2021 World Cancer Day campaign, Icon encouraged patients, loved ones and our teams and partners to submit virtual heartfelt ‘I AM and I WILL’ messages to symbolise our commitment to easing the cancer burden, and to provide messages of hope for those that need it most.

Messages received are shared with the world via Icon’s Wall of Hearts.

21 Days to Impact Challenge

In 2021, Icon Group’s leaders proudly participated in the Union for International Cancer Control’s  World Cancer Day 21 Days to Impact Challenge.

Icon Group CEO, Mark Middleton and Group Executive – Icon Cancer Centre ASEAN, Serena Wee spoke up about the global cancer burden every single day for 21 days leading up to World Cancer Day on 4 February in an effort to place cancer at the forefront.
