Kōrero mō te tūranga, About the Role:
We have an opportunity for a Receptionist/ Office Administrator to join the team at our Bowen Icon Cancer Centre. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of administrative services as well as providing exceptional customer service to all patients, their whānau, other external clients as well as your colleagues. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients, whānau and visitors.
  • Scheduling appointments and preparing for clinics.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries.
  • Invoicing and claiming via various health funders
  • Maintaining and managing patient information including auditing.
  • Modelling and promoting Bowen Icon's vision and values.

Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a health care administration role highly desirable.
  • An understanding of Māori tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven customer service experience.
  • Able to work in a fast and efficient manner, with a proven record of being a team player.
  • Experienced in high quality data processing, invoicing and billing.
  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • Able to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and written.
  • Proven digital competency including expert level in Microsoft 365 (word, excel, outlook)
