- Employment: Permanent part-time, 60 hours a fortnight.
- Shifts: Every Tuesday to Friday, 08:00am to 04:00pm.
- Location: Slade Pharmacy Hunter Valley, located within Hunter Valley Private Hospital.
- Who we’re looking for: Registered Pharmacists with at least 2 years' Australian pharmacy practice experience and an interest in leadership or pharmacy management. Hospital pharmacy experience is not essential.

We’re looking for a Pharmacist-in-Charge to co-lead our Slade Pharmacy team at Hunter Valley Private Hospital in a Tuesday to Friday, part-time role.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to step into a leadership role within a supportive hospital environment. As Pharmacist-in-Charge, you'll play a key role in overseeing pharmacy operations, supporting a dedicated team, and building strong relationships across the hospital.
While hospital experience is advantageous, it is not essential - we welcome applications from pharmacists with strong management experience in community settings.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations of a dedicated pharmacy team. This is a hands-on role where your expertise and guidance will ensure exceptional service and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver pharmacy services within the hospital
- Build strong relationships with hospital staff and manage key customer partnerships
- Oversee efficient and profitable pharmacy operations
- Ensure compliance with legislation and contractual obligations
- Continuously improve clinical and pharmacy services
- Provide education and advice to hospital staff and internal teams
About You
You're a confident and adaptable pharmacist who enjoys leading teams, building relationships, and delivering outstanding service. You can work independently, make informed decisions, and balance both operational and clinical priorities. While hospital pharmacy experience is highly regarded, it’s not essential as comprehensive training will support your transition into this environment.
Essential requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with no restrictions on practice.
- Australian working rights valid for at least 12 months from the commencement of employment.
- At least 2 years of Australian pharmacy practice experience.
Desirable skills & experience:
- Previous experience in hospital pharmacy
- Proven leadership or management experience
