The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Pharmacist to join the team at Slade Pharmacy Northside in a 6-month contract, full-time position. This opportunity is ideal for experienced community Pharmacists seeking to expand their clinical practice in a hospital setting, and Pharmacists with previous hospital experience looking for a rewarding short-term opportunity within a supportive and collaborative team.

What You’ll Do
Hospital pharmacy offers a dynamic and rewarding environment where your expertise contributes directly to patient care. At Slade Pharmacy Northside, you'll work alongside clinicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and timely medication management throughout their hospital journey.
  
Key responsibilities

• Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
• Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
• Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
• Educating and advising staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines

 
What You’ll Bring
While prior hospital pharmacy experience is not essential, it will be highly regarded. Comprehensive onboarding, training and support will be provided; however, given the short-term nature of this contract, we are seeking Pharmacists who can draw on their existing professional experience and confidently adapt to a hospital environment.
  
Essential requirements

• Permanent Australian working rights.
• General Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered Pharmacist.
• Ability to commit to full-time employment, with occasional work on weekends when required.

  
Highly desirable

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
