In this episode of Icon Elevate, Group CEO Mark Middleton OAM sits down with the very talented Apryl Chelin, Clinical Research Coordinator Team Lead at Icon Cancer Centre Wesley.
Apryl started her career with Icon six years ago as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse at Icon Cancer Centre in South Brisbane but has since grown from strength to strength in her career; and now manages the entire clinical trial program at Icon Cancer Centre Wesley and manages a team of five.
Apryl graduated with a Diploma of Nursing from Mater Education in 2015 and dove straight into the world of oncology and haematology nursing in 2016.
Apryl is an incredible, highly motivated, and compassionate nurse with a passion for improving patient care. It was these qualities that paved the way for such phenomenal career advancement in a short space of time.
Working closely with the site team and the clinicians, she was able to build a successful centre-level study portfolio, which aligned closely with the strategic goals of Icon Research.
She has since returned to Icon Wesley as the CRC Team Lead, growing and leading the busy and dynamic research program.
Outside of her role here at Icon, Apryl dedicates her little free time to her family, including her beautiful two-year-old daughter, Emilia.
