About the Role
Join Slade Pharmacy at Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne as a Clinical Pharmacist in a permanent part-time Saturday role. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on hospital experience, working each Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Whether you're an experienced hospital pharmacist or a community pharmacist ready to step into a clinical setting, you'll be supported with comprehensive training and development. You'll work across both wards and the dispensary, delivering inpatient services like medication reconciliation, discharge planning, and patient counselling, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will rotate through wards and dispensary. Your responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently and effectively dispensing and distributing medication.
- Conducting medication history interviews, performing medication reconciliation, and preparing discharge summaries during transitions of care.
- Offering medication counselling and education to patients.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice on patient care.
- Contributing to training and educational sessions for pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical personnel, and allied health professionals.
- Assisting in overseeing imprest services and ensuring the continuity of medication supply.
- Considering the financial implications of medication use both within the hospital and for patients obtaining medicines in the community.
About You

To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following:
- Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
- Previous pharmacy experience within Australia or New Zealand
- Strong ability to manage your workload independently, paired with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
- A genuine passion for advancing your clinical skills and knowledge
