About the Role
We are looking for a full-time pharmacist to join us at Slade Pharmacy Box Hill, based at the highly regarded Epworth Eastern Hospital. You’ll partner with clinical teams to deliver exceptional pharmacy services for health professionals and their patients. We offer clinical, operational and quality pharmacy services to specialties including surgery, oncology, renal dialysis, urology, cardiology, neurology, general medicine, and more.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday (76 hours per fortnight).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
  • Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day patients and discharges
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
  • Participate in the weekend and public holiday roster

Slade Pharmacy Box Hill
Slade Pharmacy Box Hill is based inside Epworth Eastern Hospital, a 223-bed facility with an 18-bed Level 3 critical care unit and a 24-bed cardiac unit. The hospital specialises in cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic, and general surgery, as well as oncology, urology, and endoscopy. It also has a day medical unit offering oncology care, scalp cooling, haematology, and infusions. Slade Pharmacy’s experienced team provides clinical support and expert advice across key areas including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, renal care and dialysis, intensive care, and IVF.

About You
As a registered pharmacist with Australian based pharmacy experience, you will have a team orientated attitude, a focus on delivering exceptional service and care to patients, and the ability to manage your own workload with good communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of health professionals. You will be highly driven and have high attention to detail and a passion for building on your clinical skills and knowledge.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous experience in an Australian based pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Be flexible and adaptable working with a diverse team
  • Embrace change and commit to learning
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously and multi-task
  • Eligibility Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
