About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Hospital Dispensary Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, located onsite at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Fitzroy. This permanent part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about providing accurate and efficient dispensary services in a hospital environment.
You’ll be responsible for dispensing medications, coordinating inpatient and discharge supplies, and supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy. While clinical experience is valued, this role is primarily focused on dispensary-based responsibilities, making it a great fit for pharmacists with strong community pharmacy experience looking to transition into a hospital setting.
We are seeking candidates who are available to work one or both of the following shifts:
- Thursday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 12:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays and discharge
- Liaise with hospital staff to ensure timely and safe medication supply
- Maintain inventory and support stock control processes
- Provide medication advice and support to patients, carers, and hospital staff
- Deliver excellent customer service and uphold pharmacy standards
About You
You’re a dependable and adaptable pharmacist who enjoys working in a fast-paced dispensary environment and values accuracy, teamwork, and patient care.
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA General Registration as a Pharmacist
- Experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy
- Familiarity with Fred Dispense and PBS (preferred)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing practices
