About the Role
We’re excited to announce that we currently have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne.

You will be based in the dispensary, ensuring safe and effective medication use, assisting with patient counselling, discharge preparation, and collaborating with the broader hospital team.

This is a great opportunity for hospital pharmacists seeking a flexible weekend role or community pharmacists ready to step into a hospital setting. Full hands-on training and support are provided, along with access to Slade Pharmacy’s national Career Pathway program.

With a short walk from Jolimont or Parliament Station, this role offers convenience, professional growth, and the chance to be part of a leading national pharmacy network committed to patient care and career development.

Shift Information:
This is a permanent part-time position, working Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm (5.5 hours per week). Please be sure to detail your availability when submitting your application if you'd like to be considered for both shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently and effectively dispensing and distributing medication.
• Conducting medication history interviews, performing medication reconciliation (when required)
• Preparing discharge summaries during transitions of care.
• Offering medication counselling and education to patients.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice on patient care.

About You
We encourage all pharmacists to apply, whether you're an experienced Hospital Pharmacist or a Community Pharmacist eager for your first experience in hospital pharmacy.

To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following:

• Current general pharmacist registration with AHPRA
• Previous pharmacy experience within Australia or New Zealand
• Strong ability to manage your workload independently, paired with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
• A genuine passion for advancing your clinical skills and knowledge
