About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, based on site at St John of God Hospital in Berwick.

This permanent part-time opportunity offers a well-rounded hospital experience, with pharmacists supporting the weekend pharmacy service delivery. Working each Saturday from 9:30am until 2:30pm, you will play an important role in delivering patient centred care, contributing both to accurate dispensing and to clinical pharmacy services on the wards.

In this role, you will be involved in dispensing medications, coordinating inpatient and discharge supplies, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, while also partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective clinical care. This is an excellent opportunity for hospital and community pharmacists alike to expand their experience and build their clinical skills in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products accurately and efficiently
• Conducting medication chart reviews & medication reconciliation’s (Medication Management Plans) and preparing discharge summaries during transitions of care.
• Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays and discharge
• Liaise with hospital staff to ensure timely and safe medication supply
• Maintain inventory and support stock control processes
• Provide medication advice and support to patients, carers, and hospital staff
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold pharmacy standards

St John of God Berwick Hospital provides high quality healthcare close to home. It has been delivering care to patients in Melbourne’s southeast and regional eastern Victoria since 1939. The hospital offers a wide range of specialties at its 190 bed facility on Kangan Drive in Berwick. About You
You’re a dependable and adaptable pharmacist who enjoys working in a fast-paced dispensary environment and values accuracy, teamwork, and patient care.

Key Requirements:

• Current AHPRA General Registration as a Pharmacist
• Experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy
• Familiarity with Fred Dispense and PBS (preferred)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing practices
