About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our dynamic Slade Pharmacy Albert Street team at Epworth Freemasons Hospital East Melbourne. In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and assist in the dispensary, ensuring all pharmacy operations meet our rigorous standards while promoting the safe and effective use of medicines.

Epworth Freemasons is a convenient 5-minute walk from Jolimont station and a 15-minute walk through Fitzroy Gardens from Parliament Station.
Shift Information:

Key Responsibilities:
Unlike community pharmacy, where the focus is often on volume and retail, Hospital Pharmacy offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key, and your decisions will have a direct impact on the treatment outcomes of patients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently and effectively dispensing and distributing medication.
- Conducting medication history interviews, performing medication reconciliation, and preparing discharge summaries during transitions of care.
- Offering medication counselling and education to patients.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice on patient care.
- Contributing to training and educational sessions for pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical personnel, and allied health professionals.
- Assisting in overseeing imprest services and ensuring the continuity of medication supply.
- Considering the financial implications of medication use both within the hospital and for patients obtaining medicines in the community.
About You

Essential Requirements
- Permanent Australian working rights.
- General Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
- Previous Pharmacy Dispensary experience within Australia.
- Strong ability to manage your workload independently, paired with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
