About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting in preparing prescriptions, handling customer queries, and ensuring the timely supply of medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality pharmacy services to hospital staff, patients, and customers
- Dispensing and supplying medications for hospital and community patients
- Assisting with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
- Delivering and collecting medications to and from hospital wards
- Entering patient-specific data into the pharmacy database
- Assisting with patient account enquiries and resolving issues
- Liaising with hospital staff and associated personnel
- Supporting the pharmacy team with general administrative tasks
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. While hospital pharmacy experience is highly valued, it’s not essential as full training will be provided to aid your transition into this new space. However, experience in pharmacy dispensing is required to ensure a confident start in the role.
Essential Requirements:
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-month from the date of employment
- Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Experience working in hospital pharmacy.
