About the Role
Hospital Pharmacy is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork are essential. In this role, you’ll perform core dispensary duties such as preparing prescriptions, managing patient queries, and ensuring the timely supply of medications. You will also play an important part in maintaining ward imprest stock and supporting overall inventory management.

Key responsibilities:
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
  • Replenish ward imprest stock and assist in maintaining inventory levels both in pharmacy and hospital wards.
  • Process sales transactions and assist with account queries.
  • Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication.
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff, and associated employees.

Site information:
Established in 1994, St John of God Murdoch Hospital has recently undergone extensive redevelopment. The facility now features 507 beds, 16 operating theatres, a new medical centre, cancer centre and Western Australia’s largest standalone endoscopy unit.

About You
We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with experience in dispensing within an Australian pharmacy setting. If you're eager to expand your skills and take on additional responsibilities, we'd be excited to have you join our team. We are also open to providing training for the right candidates.

Essential requirements
  • Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
  • Permanent Australian working rights.
  • Ability to work advertised shifts.

Desirable skills and experience
  • Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
