About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring the safe and efficient supply of medications to patients within the hospital. Working closely with Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality patient care while helping establish a new pharmacy service from the ground up.
  
Key responsibilities:
  • Dispense and supply medication for hospital patients and outpatients.
  • Deliver medications to hospital wards and assist with medication rounds.
  • Assist with managing ward imprest and stock management activities.
  • Support patients, hospital staff and associated employees.
  • Pharmacy claims and general administration duties.
  
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is excited by the opportunity to contribute to a growing pharmacy service.
  
Essential requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' dispensing experience in an Australian community or hospital pharmacy.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  
Desirable skills and experience
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with medication distribution systems and inventory management.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
