The Opportunity:
We currently have a permanent part-time opportunity for a Hospital Pharmacy Technician to join our Slade Pharmacy team onsite at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Fitzroy. This position is ideal for anyone wanting to pick up some extra work during the week and gain valuable experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. This is a permanent part-time position working each Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense medication for hospital patients
- Assist in the financial management of our oncology service offering, including owing script management & brand compliance
- Assist with administration tasks associated with clinical trials
- Serve customers and discharge patients and assist them with any queries and OTC medication needs
- Order, scan and deliver Imprest medication around the various wards across the hospital
- Order and maintain medications required for the dispensary
- Prepare for and conduct the pharmacy stocktakes
- Assist with receipting invoices
Slade Pharmacy Fitzroy is dedicated to providing a wide range of products and services to inpatients at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Fitzroy, including special access scheme medications and over-the-counter medication. Slade Pharmacy integrates hospital, community and compounding pharmacy services to the oncology sector and private hospitals across Australia. We are a proud part of Icon Group.
