What You’ll Be Doing
As a Medical Secretary, you’ll be the welcoming face and organisational backbone of our centre, supporting a dedicated Medical Oncologist. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Greeting patients and managing personal details
  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating consulting rooms
  • Handling phone enquiries with empathy and professionalism
  • Processing billing (Medicare, Private Health, DVA)
  • Ensuring smooth administrative care pathways for patients
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives
  • Living and promoting Icon’s values every day  
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a medical/surgical specialist setting
  • Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, and Private Health billing
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and medical terminology
  • A passion for delivering outstanding service
