What You’ll Do
As a Pharmacist at Icon Cancer Townsville, you will provide hands-on clinical pharmacy services, support patient care and work closely with a multidisciplinary team. This is the perfect environment to sharpen your skills and gain experience that will open doors to future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Using CHARM (our Oncology Information Management software), coordinate and organise the supply of cancer care medications including chemotherapy and immunotherapy for the day oncology unit patients.
- Perform medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
- Participate in clinical screening of cancer care medication orders.
- Educate and counsel staff, patients and allied health professionals.
- Participate in the delivery of clinical trials.
Shift Information
- 45 hours a fortnight roster.
- Monday: 08:00am – 04:00pm.
- Tuesday: 08:00am – 04:30pm.
- Wednesday: 08:00am – 3:30pm.
- Extra shifts offered on occasion, weekend and public holiday cover not required.

Essential Requirements
- General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-month from start of employment.
- 1-year Pharmacist experience in an Australian pharmacy.
- Personal Indemnity insurance.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working in clinical or oncology pharmacy.
