What You’ll Do
Oncology Pharmacists are more than dispensers - they are integral to cancer treatment, contributing to complex treatment plans and directly affecting treatment outcomes. Unlike community pharmacy, where the focus is often on volume and retail, Oncology Pharmacy offers a highly technical, clinically rich environment where precision, collaboration, and continuous learning are part of everyday practice.
  
Here, you’ll work closely with Oncologists, Nurses, and Technicians, manage specialised medications, and play a key role in patient care from diagnosis through to treatment and recovery. It’s a career move that’s not just a step forward - it’s a leap into a more professional, specialised, and impactful future.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level clinical pharmacy services in oncology, including medication review, patient counselling, and treatment optimisation.
• Apply advanced professional judgement to complex oncology cases, supporting evidence-based care across the patient journey.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a cohesive and patient-centred cancer care environment.
• Provide expert advice on oncology protocols, treatment regimens, and supportive care strategies.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance, and research activities within the oncology setting.

  
What You’ll Bring
You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment, and bring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centred mindset. In this specialised setting, high-pressure situations are not uncommon, so strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively are essential.
  
You don’t need prior Clinical or Oncology experience to succeed in this role. If you’re a Community Pharmacist with a solid foundation in pharmacy practice, a desire to expand your clinical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality care - we’d love to support you in your next career step.
  
Eligibility Requirements

• Australian working rights, valid for at least 15-months.
• Current AHPRA general registration
• Minimum 3-years Pharmacist experience in Community Pharmacy, OR 2-years in Hospital Pharmacy
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and manage interactions with doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
