About the Role
We’re looking for a Reliever Pharmacist to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. Your primary base will be Slade Pharmacy at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, and you’ll provide coverage across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
  
Unlike traditional locum roles, which can involve uncertain work schedules and periods of unemployment, this is a stable, permanent position. You’ll enjoy the variety and experience of working across multiple sites while having the security of ongoing employment. During periods when Pharmacist cover is not required at other locations, you’ll continue working at our St. Vincent’s Northside site.
  
One of the key aspects of this role is that no overnight travel is required, and you’ll be able to return home after every shift. It is an ideal opportunity if you have family or personal commitments and still want to broaden your hospital experience.
  
Specific Incentives & Benefits

• Incentive Allowance – This is a fixed allowance on top of the base salary
• Mileage Allowance – Be compensated for petrol costs and depreciation of when using your personal vehicle for work purposes.

  
This role also provides you with the opportunity to significantly diversify your career, as you will be exposed to a variety of clinical services, including Oncology and Mental Health pharmacy. With the support of our collaborative teams, you will receive the right training and support to succeed.
  
Key Responsibilities (May vary according to site)

• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
• Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
• Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines

  
About You
You are a versatile Pharmacist who thrives in new environments. . Your strong communication skills and ability to adapt make you a great fit for this unique and varied role. Community and newly registered Pharmacists are encouraged to apply as hands-on training will be provided.
  
Essential Requirements

• Previous dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy.
• Current AHPRA general registration.
• Current drivers’ licence and roadworthy vehicle fit for purpose.
• Ability to commit to a frequent travel role.
• Permanent Australian working rights.
