The Opportunity
Are you looking to take the next step in your pharmacy or retail career? Epic Pharmacy North Sydney is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team at the Mater Hospital North Sydney.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a hospital pharmacy setting as full training will be provided. We welcome applications from Community Pharmacy Assistants and Retail Workers who are eager to learn and grow in a healthcare environment.

Mater Hospital North Sydney is a 223-bed facility offering a wide range of services including intensive care, cancer care, surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, and maternity care.
About the Role
The Pharmacy Assistant is versatile team member, helping with both retail and other duties around the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and providing customer service
- Process prescriptions and handle transactions at the point of sale
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and shelving medications
- Provide basic health advice and respond to customer queries within your scope
- Support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy
Shift Information
- Permanent full-time position.
- Monday to Friday: 09:00am – 05.30pm which includes a 1-hour lunch break.
About You
You’re a motivated and reliable individual with a strong interest in healthcare. You enjoy working in a team and excel in customer-facing roles.
Essential Requirements
- Permanent Australian working rights
- Be able to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism.
- The ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role and possess excellent customer service skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Retail pharmacy experience
- Experience managing stock levels, including ordering, receiving and taking inventory.
