What You’ll Do
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our retail pharmacy. You’ll assist customers with their needs, support the dispensing team, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Process sales and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately
• Assist in preparing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Maintain stock levels by unpacking orders, restocking shelves, and rotating stock
• Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Answer general customer queries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Support administrative tasks such as labelling, filing, and stocktaking
• Promote pharmacy products and services in line with customer needs

Slade Pharmacy Kings Meadows is a unique branch within the Slade Pharmacy network. While Slade Pharmacy is renowned for its hospital and oncology pharmacy services across Australia, our pharmacy at Kings Meadows focuses on serving the local community as a retail pharmacy.
  
Our location provides essential healthcare services to residents, aged care facilities, day surgeries, and TasIVF clinics in the area. Unlike our hospital-focused counterparts, Kings Meadows is dedicated to supporting everyday health needs, blending the expertise and values of the Slade Pharmacy network with personalised community care.
  
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for individuals with strong customer service skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work well in a team.  Previous experience in a retail or hospitality is essential, and we welcome Pharmacy Students who are eager to gain hands-on experience and strengthen their prospects for future internship opportunities within the Slade Pharmacy network.
  
Essential Requirements:

• Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-months from date of employment.
• Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and a friendly approach.
• Experience in pharmacy, retail or hospitality roles.

  
Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience in pharmacy operations.
• Current Pharmacy Students.
