About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive team at Slade Pharmacy from July 2025, located within the Burnside Hospital in Toorak Gardens.  This is a great chance to take the next step in your pharmacy career in a hospital setting where your work directly contributes to better health outcomes for patients every day.
  
Whether you're looking to build on your experience or transition from community pharmacy into a dynamic hospital environment, this permanent full-time role offers hands-on experience across a variety of pharmacy services. You’ll be part of a friendly, close-knit team that values collaboration, learning, and delivering modern, patient-focused care.

This position operates Monday to Friday, working 76 hours per fortnight – no evenings or weekends required.

Key responsibilities:

• Dispense medication for hospital patients
• Assist with administration tasks
• Serve customers and discharge patients and assist them with any queries and OTC medication needs
• Order, scan and deliver Imprest medication around the various wards across the hospital
• Order and maintain medications required for the dispensary
• Prepare for and conduct the pharmacy stocktakes
• Assist with receipting invoices
• Assist in the setup and management of clinical trials

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has the ability to work autonomously and within a team. With previous dispensary experience, you will possess high attention to detail and proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience dispensing medication in an Australian-based community or hospital pharmacy
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
