About Slade Health:
Slade Health, a division of ICON Group, is one of Australia’s largest providers of sterile compounding services, including chemotherapy, analgesics, antibiotics and TPN products.
Slade Health supplies over one million infusions per annum to in-excess of 200 hospital partners via its four Australian based compounding facilities.  In late 2022, Slade Health partnered with Te Toka Tumai to build a new world-class Medsafe licenced compounding facility capable of producing chemotherapy, antibiotics, analgesics, and nutritional products in Auckland, New Zealand.
Slade Health is now supplying compounded products for public hospitals across Auckland and the wider North Island, representing over 40% of New Zealand’s cancer patients, and is continuing to grow.

About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced person to increase our leadership team in our facility in Avondale.
The Production Supervisor works closely with the production technician team and reports directly to the Site Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the production areas. They are responsible for a team of staff working within the production areas, including employee performance, personnel related matters and rostering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the compounding facility is maintained and utilised according to SOP’s
  • Regularly coach and appraise performance of staff members to achieve maximum performance
  • Develop performance objectives and individual career plans and monitor performance objectives on a regular and timely basis.
  • Drive the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by communicating clear performance expectations, developing and supporting the achievement of company, site or team goals.
  • Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement to increase product quality, safety, customer service and employee engagement.
  • Identify on-going training needs
  • Communicate departments goals and objectives to the team
What we are looking for:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Science discipline (preferable including study in subjects such as microbiology and chemistry), or compensating work experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of TGA/Medsafe
  • Previous experience in a cleanroom environment
  • Experience in developing, coaching and managing others
  • Training in GMP and Quality Systems
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
