About the Role
Reporting to the IT Delivery Manager, you will take end-to-end project ownership of the dispensing and inventory management system implementation, covering planning, vendor co-ordination, configuration, testing, training, change management, deployment, and post-go-live stabilisation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the Dispensing & Inventory System project.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risks, issues, and reporting.
  • Work in partnership with the dispensing and inventory product vendor and other key vendors that support integrations
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including pharmacy operations, IT, clinical teams, and vendors.
  • Manage dependencies with the D365 Finance & Operations project, ensuring sequencing and readiness.
  • Oversee functional and technical design workshops in collaboration with SMEs and the Technical Business Analyst.
  • Ensure integration requirements, data flows, and system configuration align with operational needs.
  • Lead testing cycles (SIT, UAT), change management, training planning and execution.
  • Deliver a controlled go‑live and transition to BAU with clear documentation and support structures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout the project.

About You
You’re an experienced Project Manager with a strong background delivering technology and operational transformation projects within healthcare settings. You understand the clinical, regulatory, and operational nuances of pharmacy, hospital, or healthcare environments and can work confidently with health care teams, and technical specialists.

Essential requirements:
  • Full Australian working rights, valid for at least 12 months from date of employment.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience managing medium‑to‑large‑scale technology or operational projects.
  • Demonstrated working experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, hospital, or clinical environment is key.
  • Proven experience in system implementation, vendor management, and project governance.
  • Strong understanding of workflows in pharmacy, healthcare, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
  • Ability to work across hybrid technical/business environments.

Desirable skills & experience:
  • Experience implementing dispensing, clinical, or inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of integrations with financial/ERP platforms (AX/D365 preferred).
  • Background working with pharmacy operations or healthcare functions.
  • Ability to function in a seemingly unstructured environment with no standard methodologies and yet keep a keen eye on progress and outcome within timelines and budget.
  • Ability to partner with a vendor with high subject matter expertise and deep industry knowledge.
  • Experience with variety of project delivery tool kits and yet pliable enough to keep things moving with wider agreement of the stakeholders, vendor and project team members.
  • Positive, approachable, and collaborative, with a proven ability to align stakeholders, teams, and vendors to deliver results.
