As an Australian-first Stereotactic Centre of Excellence, the Centre will deliver advanced radiation oncology treatments using state‑of‑the‑art technology. This facility creates a unique opportunity for clinicians, becoming the only health precinct in Australia to house and operate across 5D Clinics CyberKnife, Gamma Knife and Linear Accelerator platforms within a single integrated centre.
We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for a Radiation Therapist to join our new team at Icon Cancer Centre, MUH. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality radiation therapy planning and treatment in accordance with prescriptions from a Radiation Oncologist. Reporting to the Clinical Lead Radiation Therapist.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-focused radiation therapy planning and treatment services that meet all relevant safety and quality standards.
- Uphold exceptional standards of patient care and continuously improve service quality and patient experience.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, and equality in all interactions with patients and their carers.
- Contribute to a high-performance culture that prioritises patient-centred care through teamwork and collaboration.

Previous experience in radiation therapy planning is highly desirable but not essential.
Skills & Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven commitment to delivering high-quality radiation therapy services.
- Proven technical proficiency in treatment planning and delivery, including experience with stereotactic techniques (SRS and SBRT).
- High level competency in stereotactic workflows, image guidance, immobilisation and quality
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and procedures with precision.
- Understanding of private healthcare service delivery models.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current AHPRA Radiation Therapist registration and NSW Radiation User Licence (or eligibility to obtain).
5D Clinics operates Australia’s first dedicated private Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) clinic, located in Claremont, Western Australia. For several years, this was the only private SRS centre of its kind in the country, delivering a six‑star patient experience using CyberKnife® technology.
With the addition of the new Melbourne (Cremorne) site, 5D Clinics now extends its leadership and expertise across multiple locations. Drawing on its established clinical, operational and commissioning experience, 5D Clinics provides specialist services in the implementation, planning and operation of CyberKnife® systems nationwide.
