We’re looking for a Registered Nurse to join our radiation oncology team at the Liz Plummer Cancer Care Centre in Cairns, supporting patients through their treatment journey.
- Based at the Liz Plummer Cancer Care Centre
- Work within a multidisciplinary oncology team
- 5 weeks annual leave + PD allowance + additional benefits
- Permanent part-time role (51 hrs/fortnight)
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our innovative and dynamic team on a permanent part-time basis. Based at the Liz Plummer Cancer Care Centre, this role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and is responsible for delivering radiation oncology nursing care to patients.
You will work closely with CHHHS teams in a public hospital environment, supporting patients throughout their treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality oncology nursing care aligned with best practice
- Work collaboratively with radiation therapists, radiation oncologists and allied health
- Contribute to a positive team culture and patient experience
You’re a motivated and adaptable Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a team environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Skills & Experience:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Experience in oncology or radiation oncology (desirable, not essential)
- Strong communication and patient care focus
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of public hospital workflows is advantageous
