The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Developer to join our Data & Analytics team in South Brisbane, QLD.
This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys building high‑quality analytics solutions and explaining them to people who don’t live and breathe Power BI.
You’ll spend roughly:
- 75% of your time working in Microsoft Fabric (including Power BI), and
- 25% contributing to machine learning use cases, including stock optimisation and predictive analytics
This isn’t a rushed hire. We’re looking for the right person - someone who balances technical strength with the ability to communicate insights clearly and work effectively with people at all levels.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, building and maintaining enterprise‑grade analytics solutions using Fabric
- Developing intuitive dashboards, reports and semantic models across finance, pharmacy and compounding with other domains being added in the future.
- Contributing to machine learning initiatives, helping turn data into forecasts and smarter decisions
- Running solution‑design workshops with non‑technical stakeholders
- Partnering with Data Engineers to evolve scalable, well‑governed data models
- Making sure your solutions are performant and secure
- Presenting insights in a way that makes people say, “Ah, that makes sense.”
About the Team
You’ll report to the Data Analytics Team Lead and work alongside 3 highly experienced Data Professionals. The team brings strong technical depth and collaborative ways of working, with a focus on building scalable, enterprise‑ready solutions.
About You
You’re a confident analytics professional who enjoys working end‑to‑end; from engaging stakeholders through to delivering high‑quality analytical outcomes.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an analytics or BI‑focused role within an enterprise‑scale environment
- Strong hands‑on experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
- Experience working with large, complex datasets, ideally across finance, retail or operational domains
- Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics, with interest in applying models to real‑world business problems
- Confidence presenting insights and leading discussions with non‑IT stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within an experienced technical team
Bonus points for:
- Microsoft Fabric certification
- Python experience supporting machine learning workloads
