Introducing the 2026 Graduate Nurse Program – Icon Cancer Centres
Icon is now opening for applications for our 2026 Graduate Nurse positions across Australia. This presents a perfect opportunity for recent Bachelor of Nursing graduates - and those who will graduate at the end of 2025 – to move into a formal structured training program that will kick-start their career in cancer nursing. Applicants must have AHPRA nursing registration prior to commencing in the role.
Our commitment to you is to give you the support, guidance and mentoring during the graduate program to set you up for success as an cancer nurse, giving you access to learn all aspects of the speciality across medical oncology, haematology, and radiation oncology.
We have built a training program to ensure that you will develop a deep understanding of core theoretical knowledge and clinical skills related to cancer care.
In doing so, you will be supported to grow your capabilities to make you a competent, efficient, and effective nursing professional.
Want to make a difference in your career? Consider this unique, exciting opportunity to work in a challenging environment supported by a multidisciplinary team. Patients are at the heart of everything we do, and we could not touch the lives of the thousands of patients we treat across Australia each year without the commitment and expertise of our cancer nurses.
What do our current Graduate Nurses think about Icon and the graduate program?
“I highly recommend Icon’s Nurse Graduate Program. It’s surely one of the most supported grad programs out there. The first 3 months are packed full of education, training and supernumerary shifts designed to help you transition into a competent and happy cancer nurse. The education team and nursing team are there for you every step of the way and the education sessions continue throughout the year. The educators and nursing teams are highly skilled, great teachers and provide a supportive and happy learning environment. Cancer care nursing is unique and can be tough. As a new grad there is so much to learn, however it is incredibly rewarding, and the Icon Nurse Graduate Program is designed to help you succeed.” 2023 Icon Graduate Nurse
