About the Role
We are looking for a Grade 1 or 2 Clinical Pharmacist (depending on experience) to join us on a permanent full-time basis. A casual opportunity is also available for those seeking flexibility or a pathway into hospital pharmacy. Please indicate your preferred employment type and availability when applying.

You will have the opportunity to upskill by working in specialised areas such as general medicine, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, intensive care and surgical specialties. Previous hospital experience is well-regarded but not essential, as hands-on training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will manage the clinical workload of your assigned wards. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educating and advising patients, doctors and nurses on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines
The clinical pharmacy service at Richmond operates Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 5.00pm. There is opportunity for additional shifts across evenings and weekends if desired.
About You
Whether you’re an experienced Hospital Pharmacist or an aspiring Community Pharmacist looking for your first role in a hospital setting, we welcome you to apply. You will possess:
- General Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
- Relevant Australian pharmacy experience
- Ability to manage your own workload with good communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of health professionals
