Compounding Manager - Slade Pharmacy Richmond




About the role:
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a pharmacist interested in further developing their hospital career. With the support of our leaders and the Pharmacy Operations Manager (Richmond), the Compounding Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day compounding pharmacy team, ensuring that the highest level of pharmacy service is provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operational requirements and financial success of our Richmond Compounding Suite  
  • Mentor and manage team members and make sure KPIs are met
  • Participate in the recruitment, induction and training of new employees
  • Check the quality of all finished products made in the laboratory
  • Monitor inventory including ordering, storage and supply
  • Ensure that proper records of dispensing and other transactions are kept in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Provide recommendations and drive innovation and efficiency
  • Collaborate with our Quality and Clinical Trials Pharmacist in assisting with the management of clinical trials
  • Liaise with all doctors, nurses, staff, customers and other Slade team members

Who are we looking for?
You’ll:
  • Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous dispensing and compounding experience in an Australian based pharmacy (essential).
  • Previous experience directly mentoring and supervising a team (highly favourable).
  • Have strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
  • Have time management, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be flexible and adaptable working with a diverse team.
  • Embrace change and commit to learning.
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
