About the role:
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a pharmacist interested in further developing their hospital career. With the support of our leaders and the Pharmacy Operations Manager (Richmond), the Compounding Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day compounding pharmacy team, ensuring that the highest level of pharmacy service is provided to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational requirements and financial success of our Richmond Compounding Suite
- Mentor and manage team members and make sure KPIs are met
- Participate in the recruitment, induction and training of new employees
- Check the quality of all finished products made in the laboratory
- Monitor inventory including ordering, storage and supply
- Ensure that proper records of dispensing and other transactions are kept in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Provide recommendations and drive innovation and efficiency
- Collaborate with our Quality and Clinical Trials Pharmacist in assisting with the management of clinical trials
- Liaise with all doctors, nurses, staff, customers and other Slade team members

You’ll:
- Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous dispensing and compounding experience in an Australian based pharmacy (essential).
- Previous experience directly mentoring and supervising a team (highly favourable).
- Have strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
- Have time management, communication and teamwork skills.
- Be flexible and adaptable working with a diverse team.
- Embrace change and commit to learning.
- Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
