Radiation Oncologist – Icon Cancer Centre, Melbourne/Geelong + Warrnambool

Icon Cancer Centre is excited to invite applications from suitably qualified Radiation Oncologists to join our Victorian team, working a partial week in Warrnambool, and the remainder in a Geelong or Melbourne location. About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Radiation Oncology, supported by Icon’s extensive doctor network, and working closely with local clinical/operational teams, the primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality, evidence-based Radiation Oncology services (consultation, treatment, and all associated clinical care) to Icon Cancer Centre patients.

Icon has 8 cancer centres across Victoria, each caring for a broad mix of patients and presentations with the latest radiotherapy techniques and equipment as standard including VMAT, DIBH, IGRT, SGRT, and stereotactic RT. There are established local multidisciplinary team meetings as well as robust, doctor-led governance structures and close links to all other Icon sites therefore colleagues, support, and collaboration are readily available. We are part of an extensive network of cancer centres throughout the country and draw on the experience, knowledge, and support of this large network of clinicians to offer quality local treatment.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Current Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Sub-speciality training in Radiation Oncology holding the Fellowship of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiation Oncologists (RANZCR)
  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • Compliance as a healthcare provider with credentialing and compliance requirements such as immunisation, insurance etc.
