About the Opportunity
Slade Pharmacy at Epworth Maternity Hospital is seeking a part-time Dispensary Pharmacist to join our team for a 13-month maternity leave cover, working every Friday from 8am to 6pm.
  
In this role, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of our retail pharmacy located within the hospital, providing medication and support services to patients, carers, and staff. You’ll be part of a welcoming and professional team committed to delivering high-quality pharmacy care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products
  • Coordinate medication requirements for patients, including discharges and outpatient needs
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, carers, and hospital staff
  • Attend to front-of-shop duties and support the day-to-day operations of the dispensary
  • Educate customers on medication use, health promotion, and general pharmacy queries
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
  • Prepare and package medications in dosage as necessary.
  • Attend the front shop to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy.
  • Prepare and package medications as required
  • Participate in other dispensary duties as needed
  
About You
You’re a registered pharmacist who enjoys working in a retail pharmacy environment. Whether you’re newly registered or bringing prior experience, you’re reliable, approachable, and committed to delivering high-quality service. You work well independently and as part of a team.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with no restrictions on practice.
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Australian working rights, valid for at least 13-months from time of employment.
  • Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and multitask
  • Retail pharmacy experience is welcomed but not essential
