The Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, located in Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast QLD. Our pharmacy team provides a wide range of products and services to inpatients of the Buderim Private Hospital, including clinical review, comprehensive discharge and counselling and procurement of special access scheme medications.

About the Role
As a Hospital Pharmacist, you will provide hands-on clinical pharmacy services, supporting patient care and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. This is the perfect environment to sharpen your skills and gain experience that will open doors to future opportunities.
  
Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
  • Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
  • Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Educating and advising staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines
  
Shift Requirements:
This part-time role requires availability every Friday and Saturday, with opportunities to take on additional shifts if desired. Friday: 7:30am to 6:00pm (7.6-hour shift), and Saturday: 8:00am to 3:00pm.
  
About You
Whether you’re a newly registered pharmacist eager to dive into the world of hospital pharmacy or someone with experience in a community pharmacy looking to make a transition, we would love to hear from you. We provide full training and support to ensure your success.
  
To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous experience in an Australian based pharmacy
  • Australian working rights.
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Good time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Be flexible and adaptable, working with a diverse team
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously
