About the Role
As a Clinical Pharmacist at Mater Private Hospital Townsville, you will provide hands-on clinical pharmacy services, supporting patient care and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Mater Private Hospital, Townsville (Pimlico) is a 200-bed leading contemporary medical facility, including a dedicated Women’s and Children’s Units, an Emergency Department, and the largest private cardiac presence north of Brisbane.
Your Duties
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
- Conduct medication history interviews and reconciliation at transitions of care.
- Provide medication counselling and education to patients.
- Monitor medication outcomes and manage adverse drug reactions.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide the best patient care.
- Participate in training sessions for pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff.
- Support quality use of medicines through various audits and projects.
About You

To be considered for the role, you will need
- Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist.
- Experience working in an Australian pharmacy setting.
