The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join our supportive and collaborative team at Slade Pharmacy, based at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside. In this role, you will provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients, ensuring all pharmacy operations meet the highest standards while supporting the quality use of medicines. As a Clinical Pharmacist at St Vincent’s Northside, you will provide hands-on clinical pharmacy services, supporting patient care and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. This is the perfect environment to sharpen your skills and gain experience that will open doors to future opportunities.
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
- Conduct medication history interviews and reconciliation at transitions of care.
- Provide medication counselling and education to patients.
- Monitor medication outcomes and manage adverse drug reactions.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide the best patient care.
- Participate in training sessions for pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff.
- Support quality use of medicines through various audits and projects.
Prior hospital pharmacy experience will be well regarded, but not a requirement. We strongly encourage Community Pharmacists looking to transition into the hospital space to apply for this position. Hands-on training will be provided.
To be considered for the role, we require that you are a
- Registered Pharmacist with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Pharmacist in an Australian-based Pharmacy
