The opportunity:
A permanent full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys travelling and seeking variety in their workload. You will gain the chance to upskill your experience in hospital, oncology and clinical pharmacy services and build on prior experience in community pharmacy settings.
  
Gain the chance to further diversify your career in pharmacy and be exposed to a variety of multidisciplinary services including hospital and compounding. Working Monday – Friday you will be working across multiple sites and will be required to travel to our pharmacies across Melbourne to cover blocks of planned and unplanned leave.

A current driver’s licence and roadworthy car are mandatory. A Reliever’s allowance and annual mileage paid fortnightly.
  
In this role, you’ll:
  • Deliver high level pharmacy services to the hospital staff, patients and customers
  • Dispense and supply medications for hospital and oncology patients
  • Assist with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
  • Undertake delivery and collection of medications to hospital wards  
  • Complete data entry of patient specific information into databases
  • Assist with patient account enquiries
  • Liaise with hospital staff and associated employees
  • Assist the pharmacy teams complete administrative and record keeping duties
To reduce travel times, we have sites based in the following areas:
  1. Melbourne Central
  2. Melbourne East
  3. Melbourne South East
Who are we looking for?
You’ll:
  • Have a “can-do” attitude and be driven by the desire to have a positive impact on another person’s life
  • Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Embrace change and commit to learning
  • Be proficient in using FRED dispense
  • Have knowledge of the PBS
  • Have strong customer service skills and an understanding of Point-of-Sale Systems (POS)
  • Be adaptable with the ability to prioritise your workload
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously
Experience in an Australian pharmacy setting is essential. Experience in hospital pharmacy or oncology is not mandatory as training is provided. An interest in the field is key to succeeding.
