Injury Management Specialist

At Icon Group, we prioritise the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees above all else. We are committed to creating a work environment that fosters growth, happiness, and work-life balance.

As further evidence of this commitment, we have created a new role and we’re now looking for an experienced Injury Management Specialist to join our team, supporting employee recovery and promoting workplace safety. This role involves managing injuries, overseeing workers’ compensation, and driving prevention initiatives.

Our IM Specialist will be working with a dynamic group of teams that span hospital pharmacies, cancer centres and our Slade Health pharmaceutical compounding (production) across Australia and NZ.

While the needs of our client groups are diverse, our safety-first culture is common to all and well supported by senior leaders.  Our aim is not to just comply with legislation; our WHS team strives to go above and beyond in providing and leading a best practice WHS service that supports safety and wellbeing.

If you are passionate about promoting a culture of safety, mitigating risks, and ensuring the wellbeing of our employees, this is an excellent opportunity for you to make a significant impact and contribute to our company’s success.

Key Responsibilities of the Injury Management Specialist role:
  • Champion a holistic approach to employee health, integrating injury management with broader wellbeing initiatives.
  • Deliver high-level, specialist advice on injury management and return-to-work strategies, addressing barriers to recovery and return to work through data-driven insights and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on injury management trends and improvements.
  • Manage complex workers' compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions in accordance with legislation and company policy.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, Allied Health, Rehabilitation, or related field (Return-to-Work Coordinator certification preferred).
  • Significant experience in injury management or workers’ compensation, with strong knowledge of Australian legislation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
If this sounds like you, apply today and be the catalyst for change for making a lasting and positive influence on our employees' lives. Visit https://icongroup.global/en/careers/our-people/stories/ to read the stories of our incredible people.
