About the Role:
Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate and confidential management of patient health records to support quality patient care. This fixed-term part-time role involves 30 hours per week, working six-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Shifts will alternate between mornings (7 am–1 pm) and afternoons (12 pm–6 pm).
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently scan and organize patient correspondence into electronic records
• Retrieve and distribute medical records for inpatient admissions and appointments
• Sort and file medical records within filing bays or compactus units
• Maintain record registers and create new treatment plans and charts
• Assist in culling records for secondary storage

Skills & Experience:

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Friendly, professional demeanour both in person and over the phone
• A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and meticulously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Prior experience in clerical or administrative roles in healthcare is beneficial
• Previous experience in medical records management is highly advantageous
