As a Medical Secretary, you’ll be a key part of our patient journey, providing essential administrative support to a Medical Oncologist. Your day-to-day will include:
- Welcoming patients and updating personal details
- Managing appointment schedules and consulting room logistics
- Answering phone enquiries with empathy and efficiency
- Processing billing (Medicare, Private Health, DVA)
- Ensuring seamless administrative pathways for patient care
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Supporting health and safety initiatives
- Embodying Icon’s values in every interaction
- Experience in a medical or specialist practice setting
- Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health billing
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence with Word, Excel, and medical terminology
- A genuine passion for patient-centred service
