What You’ll Do
Hospital pharmacy is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key. As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll work alongside Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help maintain smooth pharmacy operations that support multidisciplinary care.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense and supply medication for hospital patients and outpatients
  • Deliver medication and collect rounds to hospital wards
  • Assist with managing ward imprest and stock management activities 
  • Support patients, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Pharmacy claims and general administration duties   
  
Shift Information
  • Permanent part-time, minimum 25 hours per fortnight.
  • Fixed 08:00am – 12:30pm shift every Sunday, plus a nominated 8-hour weekday shift.
  • Additional fixed shifts negotiable.
  
Site Information
Northern Beaches Hospital is a 486-bed state-of-the-art facility, providing a range of specialist surgical services including: cardiothoracic, neurological, orthopaedic and spinal, and many other subspecialties. The Epic Pharmacy team is situated in the foyer of the hospital and has 32 full-time-equivalent staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our team is split between the dispensary and the wards with pharmacists providing a full clinical service to all inpatient wards of the hospital. 
  
What You’ll Bring
While hospital pharmacy experience is highly valued, it’s not essential as full training will be provided to aid your transition into this new space. This includes dedicated training in imprest management to support your development in hospital pharmacy operations. Previous experience in pharmacy dispensing is required to ensure a confident start in the role.
  
Eligibility Requirements
  • Permanent Australian working rights.
  • Minimum 1-years’ dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy.
  
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy.
  • Certificate III/IV in pharmacy (community or hospital) or equivalent.
