What You’ll Do
Hospital Pharmacy is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key. As a Pharmacy Technician you’ll work alongside Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help maintain smooth pharmacy operations that support multidisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
- Delivery of medications to hospital wards.
- Process sales transactions and assist with account queries.
- Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication.
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees.
Shift Information
- 40-hours a fortnight; flexible 3-day weekday roster.
- Weekend shifts may be required on occasion.
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. While hospital pharmacy experience is highly valued, it’s not essential as full training will be provided to aid your transition into this new space. However, previous experience in pharmacy dispensing is required to ensure a confident start in the role.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1-years’ dispensing experience in an Australian Pharmacy.
- Permanent Australian working rights.
- Completed S2/S3 training
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Community or Hospital Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Experience working in hospital pharmacy.
