An exciting opportunity exists for Radiation Therapists of all levels to join our newly established cancer treatment centre at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside. The role focuses on providing high-quality radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Reporting to the Clinical Lead Radiation Therapist, this is a full‑time position working a 9‑day fortnight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality radiation therapy planning and treatment services to patients.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient care and continually enhance the quality of service and patient experience.
- Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient needs are met in a timely manner.
- Treat all patients and their carers with respect and equality maintaining dignity at all times.
- Support the Charge RT and/or RT Manager in the day-to-day management of a planning or treatment unit
- Effectively prioritise the workload and duties of other RTs on the unit
- Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans to ensure safe delivery of care
- Act as a technical resource, and support the development of all staff in the unit

Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy services.
- Apply effective communication and interpersonal skills to represent Icon in a strong and positive manner to all stakeholders.
- Proven technical proficiency in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery (desired).
- Ability to adhere to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Valid General Registration with AHPRA as a radiation therapist.
- Valid Qld Radiation License to use a radiation source
- Adequate professional indemnity insurance as required by AHPRA.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in radiation therapy planning and delivery required to perform patient quality assurance checks
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with capacity to lead small teams under guidance
- Demonstrated capacity to develop, implement, monitor, and report on clinical protocols and adherence
