What You’ll Do
As a Reliever Pharmacy Technician, you’ll provide backup support our pharmacy teams across Greater Sydney and the Central Coast by providing coverage during staff leave or periods of increased demand.
When relief support is not required, you will have the choice to be based at either Epic Pharmacy in Mater Hospital North Sydney OR Slade Pharmacy in Gosford Private Hospital
Specific incentives & benefits
- Incentive Allowance – This is a fixed allowance on top of the base salary
- Mileage Allowance – Be compensated for petrol costs and depreciation of when using your personal vehicle for work purposes. Time off in lieu and additional mileage allowances are provided for further travel.
- Overnight Allowance – On occasions where work takes you away for more than a day.
This role also provides you with the opportunity to significantly diversify your career, as you will be exposed to work in a variety of Pharmacy settings including Hospital and Community Pharmacies in both metro and regional areas.
Key responsibilities
- Rotational Coverage – This is a frequent travel role, where you will work at different pharmacy sites to cover sick leave, planned leave, and peak periods, with rotational benefits for extended travel.
- Support in Multiple Environments – From Retail/Community Pharmacy to inpatient wards. You will provide crucial support in assisting with dispensing, inventory management, medication preparation, and supporting pharmacists in delivering safe and effective medication services.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a versatile Pharmacy Technician who thrives in new environments and enjoys travel. Your strong communication skills and adaptability make you a great fit for this unique and varied role. While Hospital pharmacy experience is highly valued, it’s not essential. However, experience in pharmacy dispensing is required to ensure a confident start in the role.
Essential requirements
- Previous dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy.
- Current drivers’ licence and roadworthy vehicle fit for purpose.
- Ability to commit to a frequent travel role.
- Permanent Australian working rights.
Desirable skills & experience
- Hospital pharmacy dispensary experience.
- Experience as a Locum or Reliever Pharmacy Technician.
