About the Role
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a State Field Trainer to join our Pharmacy Training Team at Icon Group. Based at our Head Office in Mount Waverley VIC, this role is central to strengthening training capability, building operational consistency, and supporting the successful delivery of pharmacy services across our national network.
As a State Field Trainer, you will play a hands-on role in delivering both face-to-face and virtual training across Victorian sites, along with supporting interstate locations as required. This includes regular on-site travel to provide direct coaching, facilitate standardised learning sessions, and work closely with site teams to embed best practice workflows and systems.

With a focus on consistency, quality, and continuous improvement, the State Field Trainer contributes to training needs assessments, evaluates training engagement, and provides insights back to key stakeholders. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building others’ confidence, partnering with operational teams, and supporting a learning culture where our people can perform at their best.
This Victorian-based role involves frequent travel within and outside the state to ensure effective support for both new and established pharmacy locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver face-to-face and virtual pharmacy operations training sessions across your state portfolio
- Support onboarding and foundational training of new team members, ensuring a seamless transition into site operations
- Develop training materials and resources in collaboration with subject matter experts and the National Training Team
- Work with Site and Regional Managers to coach and mentor team members on operational systems, procedures, and tools
- Facilitate training on inventory management, retail, pharmacy systems, and best-practice dispensing workflows
- Conduct regular training needs assessments and training gap analyses across sites
- Monitor training compliance, satisfaction, and completions and report on training activity to relevant stakeholders
- Support the implementation of new site setups, acquisitions, and major pharmacy initiatives
- Ensure alignment with QMSU governance, operational best practice, and Icon’s strategic pharmacy vision
