About the role:
Permanent full-time opportunity to be based in our head office at South Brisbane. You will be part of the Tax function that manages all tax related matters for Icon Group, including the Group’s domestic and international operations and managed pharmacy groups. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a growing global presence. You will also have the opportunity to gain or further enhance existing tax knowledge with exposure to both domestic and international taxation regimes.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting all aspects of Group’s tax compliance, advisory and tax risk and governance management that will see you:
- Assist with the preparation, review and lodgement for all tax related lodgements.
- Assist with tax compliance and tax advisory for foreign based subsidiaries, including transfer pricing documentations.
- Assist with tax due diligence research for new businesses and acquisitions.
- Prepare and conduct tax knowledge and compliance training for various stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements across tax reporting and compliance workflows to enhance efficiency and risk management.
- Assist Head of Tax and Internal Audit with non-tax related risk management and internal audit tasks.
We are seeking a self-motivated and proactive accounting/tax professional with the ability to independently solve problems and completes delegated tasks in a timely manner. Attention to details and the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication will also be key to succeeding in this role.
Mandatory requirements:
- CA or CTA qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in a professional services / large corporate / multinational group
- Good understanding of Australian tax landscape and compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of financial accounting and financial reporting systems.
