About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Lead Radiation Therapist to oversee the clinical operations of our new Gamma Knife unit, featuring the Elekta Esprit system – the latest in stereotactic radiosurgery technology. This role offers the opportunity to lead a specialised team delivering highly focused, non-invasive treatments for brain tumours, vascular abnormalities, and complex neurological conditions.
You will play a key role in establishing and maintaining clinical excellence, supporting staff development, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through precision treatment planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Radiation Therapist team in a high-performance, patient-centric environment.
- Oversee clinical operations, workflow optimisation, and quality assurance.
- Support and mentor staff in advanced techniques including SRS/SRT.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in treatment protocols.
- Represent the centre in national working groups and clinical forums.
- Previous experience in Gamma Knife or stereotactic brain techniques (SRS/SRT) is highly desirable.
- Training will be provided for candidates with strong foundational experience in advanced radiation therapy.
- Proven leadership in a clinical setting with a passion for innovation and excellence.
- Current AHPRA registration and QLD Radiation License.
