About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to step into a Dispensary Manager role at Slade Pharmacy Geelong, located within Epworth Hospital.

In this position, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the dispensary across both hospital and retail services. You will work closely with the Pharmacy Operations Manager and wider clinical team to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of medicines, while supporting high standards of patient care and customer service.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee dispensing operations, manage inventory and imprest systems, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards. You will also play an important role in driving performance, supporting quality use of medicines and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will support, coach and develop pharmacy staff, coordinate workflow and rostering, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage dispensary operations to ensure safe, accurate and efficient medication supply
  • Oversee inventory management, imprest processes and stock control to meet operational and financial targets
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians and hospital staff to optimise patient care and service delivery
  • Support PBS claiming, billing processes and timely management of prescriptions
  • Monitor and improve dispensary performance through quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supervise, coach and develop team members, including onboarding and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures and accreditation standards
  • Support the Pharmacy Operations Manager and act in a delegated capacity when required

About You
Key Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
  • Previous experience working in a hospital and or community pharmacy setting, with leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong dispensing knowledge with a commitment to medication safety and quality use of medicines
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
